Route 66 Ante-Post Shares

EXCITING NEW BETTING CONCEPT FOR ROUTE 66

Introducing our brand new ROUTE 66 Ante-Post Betting Shares.

ROUTE66

BUY or SELL AT ANYTIME DURING THE SEASON

WHAT ARE ROUTE 66 BETTING SHARES?

Put simply, the Shares will form an easy way for Route 66 subscribers to back the Ante-Post recommendations at the best odds available without having to do any of the work. We will do everything for you!

HOW DOES IT WORK?

All money raised from the Route 66 Betting Share dividends sale (the Pot) will be used to back the Ante-Post recommendations given throughout the Route 66 Service.

Over the last 2 Seasons the service has recommended around 33 points worth of Ante-Post bets a year, meaning for each £35 Share purchased each point recommended in the Ante-Post Portfolio will be worth roughly £1.

Therefore, once the weekly Ante-Post recommendations have been released Festival Trends will back each one at the best odds available, with the relevant firm, to an amount of £1 per person x the number of shares sold. The ante-post bets will be placed at the best price before the recommendations are released to the other Route 66 subscribers.

Example: If the maximum 100 Shares are sold at £35 each this will give us a Pot of £3500 and we will be staking at £100 a point. If after week 1 we have two Ante-Post recommendations at 1pt ew each then we will stake £100ew on each of the selections. This will give us two Ante-Post bets totaling £400 and £3100 remaining in the Pot.

Each individual share will have £1ew on each of the selections.

share-priceAll bets will be available for inspection in the Members Area.

HOW MUCH WILL THEY COST?

At the start of the Season each share will cost £35. This share price will remain static until Sunday 4th November 2017.

From Monday 5th November a fluctuating price will operate for anyone wishing to purchase or sell shares (See below for information on how the share price will be set).

HOW MANY CAN I BUY?

There are no limits to how many shares you can purchase subject to the amount left available (see below).

As a rough estimate you should base the number of shares to purchase on your intended point staking allowance.

Example: If you intend backing each Ante-Post selection at £1 a point you will need 1 share to cover all the Ante-Post bets given over the course of the Season to that stake. For £5 a point you will need 5 shares, for £10 a point it will be 10 shares… and so on.

HOW MANY SHARES WILL BE AVAILABLE?

There will originally be 100 shares available. This figure will reduce as shares are sold.

This limit will be strictly enforced and they are available on a first come – first served basis.

Please note: There has to be a limit on the number available so as to ensure we are able to get the best odds available on our Ante-Post bets. Trying to get any more than a £100 stake on any ante-post bet recommended through the Season may very well prove troublesome. Where our ante-post bets are restricted we will accept the amount offered and then move on to the next bookmaker offering the best odds. This will continue until all the stake is placed. Share subscribers will then receive an equal share at the average price secured.

HOW WILL THE SHARE PRICE BE WORKED OUT THROUGH THE SEASON?

The Route 66 Betting Share Price will be an indicator of how well the Ante-Post Portfolio is performing.

As the Ante-Post prices we obtain about our selections contract (or lengthen) the cash out value of our bets will be adjusted to allow for any change in odds. The valuation will depend on the cash out value offered to us by the bookmakers we placed the bets with.

This  valuation will then be added to the portion of the share dividend not yet invested to give the current cash out price for each share.

Example: After week 1 we have 2 ante-post bets at 1pt ew and the 31 pts worth of bets remaining in the Pot. Bet 1 is 1pt ew on Horse A at 33/1 and Bet 2 is 1pt ew on Horse B at 16/1.

After a couple of glowing reports in that weekends Racing Post the odds on Horse A are now down to 12/1 and on Horse B 6/1. The bookmaker we placed Bet A with now offers us a cash out value 20% better than our original stake. Bet B is now 25% better according to the bookmaker cash out offer.

We have £31 left in the pot for each share.

The New Share Price is therefore now £35.90 (£31 + £2.40 + £2.50)

The more the price contracts on our Ante-Post bets, the better our position. As more horses are added to the Portfolio and the Season progresses towards the Cheltenham Festival we expect the Share Price will begin to fluctuate at a greater rate. But, the most fun could come from letting the Ante-Post bets ride to see if we can repeat our success from the last two Cheltenham Festivals.

The final Share Dividend will be calculated after the Cheltenham Festival and will simply be the amount the Portfolio returns from any winning bets (at £1 per point per share)

HOW MUCH WOULD THE FINAL SHARE PRICE HAVE BEEN OVER THE LAST 2 SEASONS?

If we had run a similar scheme in the other two years of this service and let the share ride until after the Cheltenham Festival….

2017 A single £35 share would have been worth £68.85
2016 A single £35 share would have been worth £53.34

buysellWHEN CAN I CASH THEM IN?

Shares can be cashed in at anytime after purchase at the current Cash Out price.

The share dividend / cash out price will be declared each Monday morning starting 6th November 2017

VERY IMPORTANT: Once your shares are sold, you surrender all claims, and any share of the winnings the Ante-Post portfolio may acquire from the Ante-Post bets at the Cheltenham Festival. No further dividends will be due.

HOW CAN I CASH OUT MY SHARES?

Simply email using the address from the Cash Out Shares page in the Members Area along with the number of shares you wish to sell.

You will receive an offer based on the dividend price for each share at the time of your email (subject to any commissions*).

If you accept the offer the share price dividends will be sent directly to the Paypal account the shares were bought from.

All shares that remain in the Pot after the Cheltenham Festival will be paid automatically at the final dividend to the corresponding Paypal Account.

VERY IMPORTANT: Once your shares are sold, you surrender your claim, and any share of the winnings the Ante-Post portfolio may acquire from the Ante-Post bets at the Cheltenham Festival

*WHAT IS THE COMMISSION RATE?

commission

A nominal commission fee is applied to cover Paypal and Administration Fees. The longer the Share Dividend is left in the pot the less the commission rate payable on withdrawal will be.

Commission will start at a lowly 10% and go down by 1/2% every 7 days shares are held leading up to the Cheltenham Festival.

Example: If you decide to cash in your shares within 7 days you will pay the full 10% commission rate on the share dividend. After 70 days (10 weeks) the commission rate will be down to 5%.

If Shares are held until after the 2018 Cheltenham Festival a small 2% commission will be payable on the full dividend (which will be dependent on the success of the Ante-Post portfolio).

ARE ROUTE 66 BETTING SHARES FOR ME?

If you want to back all the ante-post selections at the best odds available but don’t have the time, or an account with the relevant bookmaker, then the Route 66 Share Option may be for you.

We have had two very good Seasons with the Route 66 Service but this is in no way a guarantee that we will be able to repeat the feat again this year. The share offer is meant to add some extra enjoyment to the Route 66 Service and is in no way a guaranteed money making scheme…..So please don’t gamble more than you can afford to lose!

VERY IMPORTANT: Once your shares are sold, you surrender your claim, and any share of the winnings the Ante-Post portfolio may acquire from the Ante-Post bets at the Cheltenham Festival
