Dear Fellow Bettor,

My name is Gavin Priestley and I write the Nag-Nag-Nag Blog as well as backing horses for a living.

I use trends analysis to make my selections AND YES, I really did tip, and back, all of those big priced winners in my trends guides last year.

So what is trends analysis?

Trends analysis, or trends betting, is an exciting way of picking winners that doesn’t involve hours of studying form lines or require an in depth knowledge of speed-ratings and weight for age tables or any other complex race analysis.

No, trends betting is simply the art of studying past results for the big races (going back 10-20 years) to identify certain trends and patterns to build a profile of a typical winner. Once you have this data you can apply it to all the runners in the field to try and find ‘The Likeliest Trends Winner’.

It’s fun, it’s easy and it gets great results too!

Festival Trends: The beginning

I’ve successfully used race trends as part of my betting portfolio for over 10 years now but my subscription service only started with the Cheltenham Festival Trends Guide in 2009. I highlighted many winners throughout the meeting but there was one particular race that cemented my position as one of the best betting trends analysts in the country when I made a bold statement about my winning selection in the Freddie Williams Handicap Chase run on the Thursday of the Festival. Here’s what I told all of my customers the night before the race…

We here at Nag3 HQ strongly fancy Something Wells today in the 4.00. Ladbrokes go 33/1 about the Venetia Williams trained 8-y-o and he is recommended as our best handicap each way bet of the meeting.’

Have you ever been that confident about a 33/1 outsider running in a Cheltenham Festival Handicap? I doubt it.

But that was back in 2009. So how have we done since?

Well, which subscriber could possibly forget our now legendary Trends Guide for the Irish Grand National in 2010 where we tipped the unheralded, unfancied and rank outsider Bluesea Cracker as the only selection for the race. Not only that but it was clear top-rated on our exclusive Nag ratings too.

The result? It romped home at 25/1!!

I think you’ll agree that is great tipping. Using my unique trends based stats I was certain he was the only possible winner of the race. In fact such was the impact of his win, another Trends site stole my research stats and passed the winner off as their own selection despite not even tipping a horse in the race! But never-mind them (after-all imitation is indeed the sincerest form of flattery), it’s our subscribers that are the ones that count and they were certainly pleased with that particular result…..

Hey Gavin….Congrats on all the winners…you’re on a hotstreak no doubt…Mike

Real readers winning real money.

The big priced winners keep coming

Many thought (again!) that result would be another flash in the pan, a fluke, but our guides have consistently pinpointed big race winners over jumps and on the flat, from right around the globe, year in year out.

And so we move on to the 2011 Cheltenham Festival. We tipped a few winners during the week, including the Gold Cup winner Long Run, but it wasn’t until the very last race of the meeting that our legendary service gave us the result we were all looking for. The trainer didn’t fancy it, the owner didn’t fancy it, the bookies certainly didn’t fancy it and only a small number of punters wanted to back it!

But we here at Festival Trends were very confident of a big run from Oiseau De Nuit and having made it our top rated horse in the race we backed it at 40/1 and at odds of over 60/1 on Betfair. The rest as they say was history as Oiseau De Nuit stormed to victory to give our customers a great way to end the meeting and send our email inbox into meltdown….

thanks for that top rated huge priced winner yesterday, and you rated Zemsky 2nd top rated your info is absolutely fantastic, I think you offer a fantastic service, love all the trend info. thank you…..dee

I can’t believe it! I got Oiseau de Nuit at 40/1 which is the biggest winner I’ve ever had. Keep up the good work…..CT

Truly amazing. Where do you find all these winners?….yours in awe, DD

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! 40/1!!! Incredible…..FS

Real readers winning even more real money!

But that’s still in the distant past. How have the results been more recently?

The story of 2015.

But the highlight of the year was undoubtedly

We still finished the year well in profit (+81pts) and it meant that our subscribers were still ‘quids in’. Not bad going when you consider we tipped over 200 horses, covered well over 50 meetings and produced more than 500 pages of trends based analysis in our guides.

And if you’re thinking that last year must have been a fluke, well I can tell you that during 2014 we were up 20pts at the end of the year, in 2013 we made a profit of 19pts, in 2011 it was 49.5pts and throughout 2010 I tipped 54 winners from 250 races and showed an enormous profit of 295pts!! That was £2950 clear profit for £10 stakes or £29,500 to £100 bets……

Our guarantee to you

Now, before we go any further, I just need to add a quick reality check: I hope you’ll understand that I obviously can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to repeat our amazing feats and supply a 40/1 winner at every meeting we cover.

But what I can absolutely guarantee is that the self-same detailed race analysis that provided all of those past winners will be applied to every race covered in our Race Trends Guides.

If you’re anything like me, you love looking through the ‘numbers’: those trends that highlight winning profiles in a way that cold form study cannot do.

But the trends are just the tip of the iceberg with this guide. Although I’m slightly biased, I firmly believe these are the best guides of their kind on the ‘net.

In fact don’t take my word for it, I’ll let one of our many happy subscribers tell you what they think about our service…..

” Hi Gavin

Some great trend picks again and another profitable weekend.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; It’s been great being part of your service and seeing regular losses on my part turned into regular profits by your hard work and trends analysis. I can’t remember a long losing run for the service, which you would expect from time from time, but I sure as hell remember some great winning picks and they often come in clusters, as recently.

I had a bad April and first half of May, so this has now redressed the balance and it’s a good feeling knowing that your hobby can not just pay for itself (which would be fine by me) but actually make you a profit……

….. As you can probably tell I’m delighted and having been with you for three or four years, shows that you have delivered over a long period of time. Please keep it up and accept my grateful thanks.” ….DWC
